Prospect is just 23 kilometres (about 14 miles) from downtown Halifax via Route 333. The landscape includes the Pennant Granite Barrens natural region and a dozenwild islands in Prospect Bay and Pennant Bay and is home to wildlife like the endangered Harlequin duck.
