You’ll start your journey in Bridgewater, the hub of the South Shore, with an overnight stay at the Best Western Plus. At check in you will receive a unique handmade leather pouch in which you will find all the information you require to help you along the way.
In the morning, enjoy a full hot breakfast before starting out on the scenic drive to LaHave. Once you arrive in LaHave you can visit Westcott Bell Pottery and receive a 10% discount on some of the most unique pottery pieces in the area (you can even watch them “throw the pots”) and then stop by LaHave Bakery for lunch. While at the bakery, be sure to check out the rest of the building – local crafts downstairs and a very unique skateboard company upstairs that is a must see if you have a skateboarder in your family.
After lunch, continue to Fort Point Museum which is a former lighthouse keeper’s home that provides a very all encompassing, unique museum experience.
After your time in LaHave you will cross the LaHave River by cable ferry to East LaHave where you can continue your adventure along the South Shore’s Bluenose Coast.
