All properties listed here have been licensed by the Province of Nova Scotia and approved by at least one of the three recognized quality programs, Canada Select/Camping Select, Nova Scotia Approved and CAA/AAA, to ensure they are clean and comfortable.

Canada Select is an industry-lead, consumer-driven rating program providing visitors with a nationally consistent standard of quality within categories of roofed accommodation. Canada Select uses a recognized star rating system, awarding 1 to 5 stars for modest to luxurious properties.

 | Exceptional Accommodations with an extensive range of facilities, guest amenities and services |

Camping Select inspects and rates participating campgrounds in two categories: Facility and Recreation. You will find two sets of stars for each Camping Select-rated campground. One reflects the excellence of the facility; the second denotes the standard of recreational activities.

CAA/AAA Diamond rating criteria are broad guidelines to designate a combination of overall quality, range of facilities, and level of service offered by a property. The size, age, and overall appeal of an establishment are considered, as well as regional architectural style and design.
1-5 diamonds are assigned based on the overall guest impression rather than on individual criteria. Look for the Official Appointment properties (represented by diamonds or the letters CAA/AAA).
