The Bras d’Or Lakes Inn is a spacious cedar log-cabin waterfront inn located in St. Peter’s on Cape Breton Island, just a 30 minutes’ drive from the Canso Causeway linking mainland Nova Scotia to Cape Breton Island.  The hotel overlooks the shore of the Bras d’Or Lakes and is adjacent to the historic St. Peter’s Canal which connects this salt water lake to the Atlantic Ocean.  

Our accommodation includes a waterfront recreation area and dock-side lounging deck, as well as use of kayaks, canoes and bicycles.  We are also centrally located for you to enjoy day trips to many attractions and destinations such as the Fortress of Louisbourg, Baddeck Village and the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, the Cabot Trail and many golf courses along the way.  

Our accommodations include 19 spacious air conditioned hotel units (King, Queen, Double), with a private 4-piece bath, cable television, telephone, wireless Internet access, hair dryer, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board. Our inn features a licensed fine dining and family dining; lounge with ceilidh and live entertainment; patio; exercise room; hot tub; laundry facilities; and conference facilities.  We also have a private dock, kayaks, a canoe, and bicycles for visitors’ use. Pets are permitted in rooms with 2 beds only.
