Overview
Blomidon Provincial Park is located in the Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley region (Route 358, 14 km / 9 mi north of Canning). Rising majestically from the shores of the Minas Basin, Blomidon Provincial Park is renowned for its spectacular views. Blomidon's 759 ha (1,875 acres) include 180 m (600 ft.) high cliffs, a variety of habitats, striking natural features, abundant wildlife -- and the world's highest tides wash its shores. These natural attractions provide excellent opportunities for camping, hiking, beachcombing, photography or just appreciating nature. Park features include two picnic areas: at the top and at the foot of Cape Blomidon; red sand beach on the Minas Basin (beach access at trailhead); and all-season trails, 14 km (9 mi), through mature hardwoods, with numerous panoramic views of the Minas Basin. Note tide times, as you could be stranded until high tide recedes.
Our campground accommodations include 72 overnight open and wooded sites (un-serviced); group sites are available. Guest amenities include flush toilets, showers, disposal station, fire grills, wood, table and group-use shelters, change houses, and ice. Wireless Internet access is available at the administration building only and the surrounding area (please see park receptionist for details). Enjoy the park’s picnic areas, playground, trails, and red-sand beach on Minas Basin. Campground Host is on site. Leashed pets are permitted. MasterCard, Visa and Direct Debit are accepted.
