Beacon Motel & Lodge is a family-owned and operated motel in Sydney on Cape Breton Island – just 20 minutes from the Newfoundland ferry.  We are close to many area attractions including beaches, golf, museums, the Fortress of Louisbourg, and the legendary Cabot Trail – one of the world’s most famous scenic drives.

Our accommodations include 9 air-conditioned rooms (6 housekeeping units), with a 4-piece bath, remote cable television, and free local phone calls. Cots are available.

Motel features include Internet access, an outdoor pool, walking trail, duck pond, barbecue, picnic tables and parking. Small groups are welcome. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Direct Debit are accepted.
