A1 Lakeview Bed and Breakfast is a contemporary bed and breakfast occupying a lakefront spot on Porters Lake in a quiet, rural setting in the Halifax Metro region of Nova Scotia. One of Nova Scotia's fastest growing communities, Porters Lake is a perfect blend of country living just minutes from Halifax and Dartmouth. Porters Lake is one of the largest lakes in the province and provides numerous access points for boating, swimming, fishing, and any watersport activity you desire. 

This bed and breakfast, located eighteen miles east of Halifax, is a short drive to Nathan Smith Park, Acadian House Museum, which houses a collection of local artifacts illuminating Acadian history, and Lawrencetown Beach, which serves as a year-round destination for surfers, but for those not willing to risk the surf or the cold, an excellent beach for a long walk any time of year. A short drive will bring guests to Memory Lane Heritage Village, a local attraction that portrays a 1940s Nova Scotian town, complete with re-enactors completing chores amongst vintage buildings. 

Our accommodations include three suites (Queen-sized bed; one with whirlpool tub, propane fireplace and deck), all with ensuite 3-piece (Tub) or 4-piece bath. Rooms are equipped with satellite television and high-speed wireless Internet access. We offer an outdoor sun deck, gardens, and a common sitting room with a fireplace, surrounded by huge, arched windows, elegant hardwood floors, and raised ceilings. Relax and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the lake in the lounge area. A full, home-cooked breakfast is served daily between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Executive meetings and honeymoon and anniversary packages are available upon request.
