Overview

Guests who love the ocean, love it here! A Moonlight Beach Inn has been welcoming guests to their oceanfront paradise since 1996. The Inn is located directly on the “open ocean” on beautiful Lawrencetown Beach (not on a bay or inlet). Where most people have a backyard, we have an ocean beach! You can drift off to sleep to the soothing sounds of the surf, awake to the smell of the fresh salt air, and enjoy the beautiful views of the extraordinary coastal scenery and the ever-changing ocean waves!

This unique Bed & Breakfast Inn offers 3 luxurious, yet casual, oceanfront suites decorated with a romantic, seaside theme.

Your Hosts work to provide everything to insure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Each suite features:
•    Private inside and outside entrances
•    Your own furnished deck overlooking the ocean
•    Ensuite bathroom with either a whirlpool tub or a combination tub, shower & steam bath unit
•    Very comfortable queen-size bed and an equally comfortable double-size pull-out sofa-bed
•    Your own sitting area in your room with a cozy fireplace, colour cable HDTV, DVR, DVD & VCR (complimentary movies)
•    Free local phone calls and wireless internet in-room
•    Fully equipped kitchenette and dining nook in your room so you don’t even have to leave if you don’t want to
•    Fluffy robes, hairdryer, clock radio, bathroom amenities
•    Beach towels & beach chairs

Pets
We have one suite that is pet friendly. There are certain restrictions, so we ask that you please inquire.

Activities
Hike or cycle (bikes provided) for miles along the Trans Canada Trailway which abuts this property, or follow one of the “local” paths less travelled to savour the beautiful coastal scenery…maybe seeking out some geo-caches along the way. Surfing, swimming, boogey-boarding, building sandcastles on the beach or just relaxing with a good book and a cool drink as you feel the sand between your toes. Or enjoy a kayak or canoe trip (available for a nominal fee) on one of the 2 nearby lakes.

If the weather is inclement or you just want to relax inside, you can take advantage of the common room; have a game of pool, perhaps play a board game or do a puzzle…or soak away your stresses in the hot tub.

Points of Interest
Moonlight Beach Inn is very centrally located for taking daily sight-seeing trips to other areas of the Province. You can easily spend a week (or more) following some of the Hosts’ suggestions (along with directions) for excursions suited to your personal tastes. See the highest tides in the world at the Bay of Fundy (just 1.5 hrs away); visit Peggy’s Cove (50 mins. away) or the UNESCO Heritage site of Lunenbourg (1.5 hrs away).

Guests are always so amazed to find such a relaxing, oceanfront location, seemingly miles away from civilization, yet close enough that, if you want, you can enjoy the benefits of city life, too. The historic capital city of Halifax is just a half hour away (as is the airport). Fine dining, pubs, music & entertainment, shopping, museums, art galleries, cultural exhibits, dancing, festivals of all types, etc. There are also various water tours available in Halifax Harbour; fishing, nature & whale-watching, sailing, etc.
