Maclean Nairn

My Gt. Aunt Alice travelled from Glasgow in Scotland in April 1906 and was travelling to Canada. According to the ships paseanger list she was travelling and going to Innisfail, and also had a note of she was to be married.

She was christened Margaret Alice Maclean and on the 1911 Scottish Census decide to call herself Alice, and Alice is the name on the ships passanger list.

Her parent's were Alexander Maclean & Elizabeth Black. Her Father was a Master Carpenter and Builder.

He siblings were, Jane, Hector, William, Donald, Elizabeth (Lizzie), Ann, John, James (my Grandfather) Mary & Alexander.

My Grandfather went to Innisfail in 1912 and was disembarking in Montreal. I have also found her Sister Mary travelling to Innisfail to stay with her Sister and Her Husband but there is no name on the form. She travelled in 1920/22.

I am desperately trying to find Alice/Margaret's marriage record, but have no idea whom she married, when she married or where she ended up.

I found someone I thought on Ancestry.co.uk and she said she died in 1954 in the Massechusettes area, but I am still not certain whether this is her or not.

If anyone has any snippets of information for me to help me further would you be kind enough to tell me.

I am sure she did not come back to the UK.

Thanks in advance.

Faith
