The Age of Sail Heritage Centre, overlooking the tidal Greville River, pays tribute to the heritage of the communities along the Minus Channel. The theme is from Timber to Tall Ships, brought to life through pictures, videos, models, artifacts and hands on exhibits. The site was once a shipyard and mill. The main building, blacksmith shop and lighthouse are historic community buildings which have been dismantled, moved to the site and rebuilt. The fine tool and ship model collections are especially interesting, local genealogy, census records and information regarding over 700 ships built on the shore are available.
