Meet Local Nova Scotians

Dig for your dinner , write a song with a local songwriter, or try your hand at any number of traditional arts or crafts that have been practiced here for decades.  Experience our Nova Scotia in a way that takes you off the beaten path and into the heart of our communities.

Locals from across the Nova Scotia have put together special adventures and activities to share their way of life like lobster fishing or blacksmithing, traditional arts and crafts like rug hooking, or special talents like songwriting and painting.   There are also opportunities to see special places in a whole new way.  Learn about sustainable gardening behind the scenes at the Fortress of Louisbourg or dress up as an 18th century soldier and defend the Halifax Citadel from invasion.

Whether you are interested in history, culture, food and wine, or the great outdoors, there is an activity just for you.

Nova Scotia Adventures

You may not want to miss some of our best in class adventures and activities.  Tidal bore rafting, whale watching, and surfing are a few of the activities with Nova Scotia flair.  There are companies ready to offer tours or personalized experiences that showcase the best Nova Scotia has to offer.
