Nova Scotia has a wealth of provincial parks. Some are small picnic areas, and others are large parks with a variety of facilities. Dollar Lake Provincial Park is situated on a large lake 27 km (17 mi) north of Musquodoboit Harbour (Route 357, west 8 km/5 mi) in the Eastern Shore region. The park offers a quiet, woodland setting with a wide range of outdoor activities including camping (119 woodland campsites, no electrical hookups), boating, canoeing, water-skiing and fishing. Dollar Lake Beach is a natural, sandy beach at the north end of the lake to enjoy fresh water swimming. Supervised swimming July and August. Park amenities include change rooms, flush toilets, picnic area, playground, back-country trails, boat launch, and trailer dump station. Our campground accommodations include 119 wooded overnight sites (un-serviced); group sites available. Open and wooded campground and picnic areas are available. Guest amenities include flush toilets, showers, disposal service, fire grills, wood, table shelters, change houses, and ice. Wireless Internet access is available at the administration building only and the surrounding area (please see park receptionist for details). Small unsupervised campers’ beach provides swimming opportunities. Campground Host is on site. Leashed pets are permitted. MasterCard, Visa and Direct Debit are accepted.
