I've always considered Nova Scotia to be a truly exceptional place. Growing up in the Hub of Nova Scotia (Truro), I became aware of how diversified the people and the scenery really are. I mean, where else can you drive an hour or so away and be surrounded by totally different but equally beautiful landscapes and seascapes and, although they still speak with a Maritimer's accent, people who sound a little different than they do in your hometown.
What's my story? Well, I have a B.A. (Honours in English) from St. Mary's University and a Master's Degree in Modern and Postmodern English Literature from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Besides studying and travelling all over Scotland and Europe, I also worked as a writer/editor for a magazine based in Glasgow. Living in Scotland was an amazing experience and it will be good to return to the historic "auld country" once again someday. But now I'm home again in the new country with a new appreciation for Nova Scotia. I found myself answering a lot of questions about Nova Scotia while in Scotland and I decided that, when I got home, I wanted to get out and re-explore Nova Scotia, as I had a few questions of my own that
needed answering. So, here I am, ready to let you in on all the great stuff you can see and do in Nova Scotia.
What's my fun? In my spare time, I like to pack up the car with camping gear, friends and the guitar and head out to one of the many great beaches or campgrounds that Nova Scotia has to offer. Explorative road trips of Nova Scotia are also up there on my list of favourite things to do. I am very passionate about environmental awareness and education, writing, music, travelling and cars.
