For more information log onto www.canadaselect.com or call 902-406-4747.

Camping Select
Camping Select inspects and rates participating campgrounds in two categories: Facility and Recreation. You will find two sets of stars for each Camping Select-rated campground. One reflects the excellence of the facility; the second denotes the standard of recreational activities.

CAA/AAA
CAA/AAA Diamond rating criteria are broad guidelines to designate a combination of overall quality, range of facilities, and level of service offered by a property. The size, age, and overall appeal of an establishment are considered, as well as regional architectural style and design.

1-5 diamonds are assigned based on the overall guest impression rather than on individual criteria. Look for the Official Appointment properties (represented by diamonds or the letters CAA/AAA).

Diamond Ratings
CAA Level 1No-frills, budget accommodations meeting basic requirements pertaining to comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality
CAA Level 2Slightly more than basic accommodation with modest enhancements to the overall physical attributes and amenities typically at a moderate price
CAA Level 3Multifaceted with a distinguished style, including marked upgrades in the quality of physical attributes, amenities, and level of comfort
CAA Level 4Upscale in all areas, progressively more refined and stylish with enhanced level of quality throughout, including an array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality and service
CAA Level 5The ultimate in luxury and sophistication with physical attributes being extraordinary in every manner. Exceeds all guest expectations while maintaining an impeccable standard of excellence, personalized service and comfort

Nova Scotia Approved
The Nova Scotia Approved Quality First program was developed to ensure visitors receive clean and comfortable accommodations while visiting Nova Scotia. All properties that are Nova Scotia Approved have met a benchmark of quality standards, but are not rated for levels of service.
